Homes and Gardens

Homes & Gardens, 1921-1985

Homes and Gardens is a monthly magazine featuring a plethora of articles and advertisements on all areas of housekeeping and gardening, from heating, lighting and kitchen fixtures to furnishing the nursery, baking, choosing gifts and planting trees. The wartime issues include a monthly section entitled ‘A Woman’s War Time Journal’. From the 1950s onward the magazines have a more nationalistic approach, often featuring members of the Royal family on the front cover. MoDA holds unbound editions of the magazine from 1921 to 1985 (incomplete).
