House and Garden

Conde Nast Publications - London, publisher, 1946-1988

House & Garden magazine is similar to Homes and Gardens but glossier in appearance, more specific in content and more international in its approach. For example, articles are entitled ‘A Connoisseur’s Garden’, ‘Food Tour De France’ and ‘The Art of Burnishing Gilding’. Furthermore, it has more of an emphasis on home decoration. MoDA holds bound and unbound copies of the magazine covering the period 1946-1988 (incomplete).
