designed by Silver, Arthur,
Silver Studio, 1891

This pretty blossom design for wallpaper was created by Arthur Silver in 1891. It was probably intended for Liberty & Co., one of the Silver Studio’s best customers at that time. Delicate, feminine designs such as this were much admired by writers on decoration in the 1880s and 1890s.
