This wallpaper was designed by Edward Bawden and manufactured by Curwen Press in 1933. The 'Facade' paper features a abstract design of vertical stripes of swags, stars and columns, in dull beige/grey and blue with some red and pale green. This is one of the 'Plaistow' papers commissioned from Edward Bawden by the Curwen Press in November 1932. They sold for between seven shillings and sixpence per piece, a piece consisting of 12 sheets.
