This cover conveys light-hearted cheekiness by using a comical cartoon style. In the 1930s, big rounded lines, exaggerated features and cheeky poses occurred in all forms of illustration, from seaside postcards to newspaper comics. This comic style in relation to the hand-drawn look of the title text gives the whole cover a sense of warmth and personality.
