The Art Record
The Art Record, edited by Arthur F. Phillips, advertised itself as ‘A Monthly Illustrated Review of the Arts & Crafts’. It contains a range of articles on all aspects of the Arts & Crafts, from notes on house decoration, reviews of particular artists (in MoDA’s volume Herbert Draper), art museums or art schools and costume fashions. It also contains more philosophical articles such as ‘The Ethics of Taste’ and ‘Is Painting an Art?’
MoDA holds bound editions from Volume 2, 1902.
