Homemaker is a monthly, illustrated magazine with the tagline "The Practical How-to-do-it Monthly". ' It was aimed at DIY enthusiasts with an array of DIY-based advertisements. The magazine is divided into relevant section such as ‘Home Improvements for all the Family’ and ‘Tools and Techniques’. Articles include ‘Modernising a Small House’, ‘How to Dig’, ‘All About Weatherproofing’ and ‘Focal Points for a Room Without a Fire’.
MoDA holds unbound editions of the magazine from 1956-1967 (incomplete) as well as the June 1973 and November 1975 editions.
